9th July 2017
This reprobate is Andy Ainscough, organiser of the Berinsfield Bunch. And they’ll be putting the ‘try’ into triathlon on Sunday 9th July by holding their very own family mini triathlon in support of Pod and Pig.
Meeting up at Berinsfield Lake, Oxford at 8am they’ll get those lovely wet suits back on before swimming either 250m, 500m or the full 1k loop (distance selected depends on age and level of ability/hangover). Then it’s on to the bikes for a 15k ride past the Crazy Bear @ Stadhampton before heading down to the Waterfront Cafe at Benson. Tearing themselves away from the temptations at the cafe they’ll run the official distance of ‘a few’ miles out to Benson RAF base and back to the Waterfront for a well deserved brekkie!
Great work everyone and thanks for all your support,
Pod and Pig
A beautiful day dawned on Saturday for the Berinsfield Bunch and they were in the lake for 8am. With the water warmed by the sun to a more than acceptable 24 degrees, adults and kids all completed a variety of distances before hopping on the bikes for a 15k spin followed by a full on sprint to the breakfast cafe. Along with the pics they sent us this lovely message.
“Glad we could stand side by side with you all and do our bit. Send our love and admiration to Clare and smiley Pete.”
We say much respect to the Berinsfield Bunch, thanks so much for all your efforts xxx
